The colorful crew is excited to be back together, with Noo-Noo in tow, and fans everywhere can't wait to see where they'll bring the dance party next.
New York, NY - October 15, 2021 - Eh-Oh! WildBrain's Teletubbies have reunited to make entertainment history today, with the launch of Ready, Steady, Go!, their first album in over twenty years. After going their separate ways several years ago to pursue their individual passions, the iconic foursome is BACK in the limelight as they gear up to celebrate their 25th anniversary in 2022.
Featuring 10 all-new songs that are sure to get fans young and old up and dancing, Ready, Steady, Go! drops Friday, October 15 on all major digital music streaming platforms, supported by brand-new music videos which began rolling out on the official WildBrain Teletubbies Channel on YouTube in September. With a new one dropping each Saturday morning through November 20, the music videos are already delighting fans worldwide, as the first four - "Ready, Steady, Go!", "Peek-A-Boo", "Silly Things" and "Explorer" - have amassed over 1.3 million views.
Since we last saw the Teletubbies, Tinky Winky relocated to Paris to focus on fashion, Laa-Laa has made a name for herself as a DJ in Ibiza, graffiti artist Dipsy has been enjoying Banksy-esque anonymity and record-breaking artwork sales, and Po has been living a life of enlightenment on a yoga retreat in Thailand.
The Teletubbies originally rose to the #1 position on the pop charts with their debut album back in 1998. Now that the group is officially back together, fans are excited to join the global dance party this fall. From social media buzz with the likes of Lil Nas X and the BTS ARMY, to surprise broadcast TV appearances in the US and UK, to Tinky Winky's New York Fashion Week takeover last month, the Teletubbies have been taking the entertainment world by storm. As the Teletubbies get set to drop their album and celebrate their 25th anniversary, fans are already speculating on their next big move. Could a collaboration be in store with Lil Nas X or BTS? Could the colorful foursome be planning a world tour next year? Fans will just have to stay tuned, but for now one thing's for certain: It's time for Teletubbies!
Check out Ready, Steady, Go! on all major music streaming platforms this Friday, and also on CD.
