European ADRs Move Slightly Higher in Friday Trading

(MT Newswires) -- American depositary receipts of European stocks were trading 0.14% higher at 1,012.31 on the S&P/BNY Mellon Europe Select ADR Index on Friday.

In continental Europe, the gainers were led by 3D printer company voxeljet (VJET) and electronics company Philips (PHG), which climbed 6.9% and 3.8% respectively. They were followed by Deutsche Bank (DB) and biopharmaceutical company MorphoSys (MOR), which rose 2.8% each.

The decliners in continental Europe were led by biotech firm Forward Pharma (FWP) and biopharmaceutical company argenx (ARGX), which fell 9.4% and 4.2% respectively. They were followed by oil giant Equinor (EQNR) and dating app owner Spark Networks (LOV), which dropped 2.9% and 1.8%.

In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical companies Bicycle Therapeutics (BCYC) and Mereo BioPharma Group (MREO), which rose 7.2% and 4.6% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Adaptimmune Therapeutics (ADAP) and biotech company Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL), which were up 3.3% each.

The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical company Akari Therapeutics (AKTX) and mining company BHP Group (BHP), which lost 4.8% and 2.2% respectively. They were followed by insurance firm Prudential (PUK) and pharmaceutical company GSK (GSK), which were off 1.5% each.
