VALLOUREC From the 15th to 18th of November, Vallourec was back at the ADIPEC exhibition and conference in Abu Dhabi after a two-year interruption due to the pandemic. This key event in the Middle East, and one of the world's most influential exhibitions for the Oil& Gas market, welcomed this year more than 100,000 trade visitors, 2,000 exhibiting companies, 51 NOCs and IOCs and 127 conference sessions.
During the 4-day event, Vallourec showcased a selection of innovative solutions to support Oil & Gas operations and to accelerate the energy transition. This major conference and exhibition event was a unique opportunity to make live demonstrations of our innovative and digital solutions, and to have in-person discussions with our customers and prospects.
Every day, our booth welcomed a large number of visitors who were interested in discovering our brand-new solutions, including our Intelligent Drift, Pre-Installed Cable Protector, Intelligent Pipe and Additive Manufacturing solutions, as well as our Smartengo digital offering. ADIPEC was also a great opportunity to highlight our longstanding presence in the Middle East, as well as our close collaboration with ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company), with a special focus on our solutions to ensure traceability from the mill to the well. We especially highlighted recent customer success stories, including our best-in-class VTSA (Vallourec Tubular Services in Abu Dhabi) pipe yard located in the Abu Dhabi Industrial Zone and run with Smartengo Inventory, our tailor-made digital inventory management solution which provides real-time visibility of every item in stock, as well as improved and more reliable operational processes, from stock movement to maintenance and inspection.
In addition to the products and solutions showcased at the booth, we also offered visitors a new interactive virtual experience to discuss specific technical topics with our experts, including well design, material selection and solutions for energy transition applications. Thanks to the open connection between two large screens, one installed at the booth and a second one at our headquarters, visitors were able to benefit from dedicated presentations and open discussions on their topics of interest with our experts based in France. This system was a unique opportunity to bring together customers and Vallourec experts in a time of social distancing.
Thanks to the numerous presentations and live demonstrations of our innovative and digital solutions, our customers were able to see that Vallourec remains a reference technical leader of our industry in the Middle East.

Customers and prospects have already expressed a special interest in some innovations presented at the booth, such as the Intelligent Drift, the Pre-Installed Cable Protector and the Smartengo digital solutions, and all agreed that these solutions address several of their operational challenges. Throughout the week, visitors benefitted from live demos of our Intelligent Drift, an auto-propelled device that measures pipe length and ID (Internal Diameter) while drifting to help operators optimize their casing string based on each individual pipe's profile.
ADIPEC was also the occasion to highlight our advanced engineering support solutions for well optimization. This extensive offering was designed to accompany customers in the selection of the best materials, grades and connections to reduce costs and enhance well integrity.
In addition to the demos of our core-business solutions, we also presented our portfolio of solutions to accelerate the energy transition, with a specific focus on transportation and storage solutions for CCUS, Hydrogen, as well as dedicated solutions for geothermal projects. During our discussions with worldwide energy players, we went through our offer and shared our recent connection qualification testing results.
In everyone's opinion, this ADIPEC 2021 edition was once again a great success and a unique opportunity to interact with customers, prospects and major industry players.
