Madrid/Berlin, Jun 30 (Reuters) - German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said his government is prepared to do what's necessary to help companies facing external shocks in view of German utility Uniper's financial struggles.

"Germany has experience with companies that are brought into a crisis through external shocks, such as during the pandemic. That's why we're already prepared to do what's necessary," said Scholz on Thursday during the NATO summit in Spain.

Scholz added that what that means individually could not be determined in the abstract, and that any decision on aid would have to be determined on a case-by-case basis.
