Unión Andina de Cementos S.A.A. (BVL:UNACEMC1) signed a contract to acquire Cementos La Unión Chile from Cementos La Unión, S.A., Inversiones Mel 20 Ltda and Áridos Jativa S.L.U. for $23 million December 11, 2020. Under the terms, Unión Andina will acquire full stake of shares of Cementos La Unión Chile and 100% of the social rights of Inversiones Mel 20. The total amount of the transaction is $23 million and includes the purchase price and debt of Cementos La Unión. Transaction is subject to compliance with conditions such as approval by the Chilean National Economic Prosecutor's Office. Subject to approval, Unacem will own the 0.3 Mta San Antonio plant. The company will also have a premixed concrete unit with concrete plants and trucks with a capacity of 336,000 m3 per year.

Unión Andina de Cementos S.A.A. (BVL:UNACEMC1) completed the acquisition of Cementos La Unión Chile from Cementos La Unión, S.A., Inversiones Mel 20 Ltda and Áridos Jativa S.L.U. on February 23, 2021. The transaction has received approval of the Chilean National Economic Prosecutor on the same day.
UNACEM Corp S.A.A. is a Peru-based company engaged in the production, distribution and sale of ready mixed concrete, and related goods and services. In addition to ready mixed concrete, the Company produces and sells aggregates for construction, blocks and paving stones, and provides concrete pumping and shotcrete services for tunnel support. The Company's products include Progre-Sol: hardware store network, Hatun-Sol: Microfinance, and Duravia: Concrete Pavement. The Company's Progre-Sol Network supplies approximately 6,500 independent hardware stores in Metropolitan Lima or outside the capital, as well as construction workers, brick layers and self-builders. Its HatunSol provides various loans in the form of construction materials and labor, and transport of materials to the building site. The Company owns a plant in Lima and a plant in Junin, whose annual production capacity is over 6.7 million tons of clinker and over 7.6 million tons of cement.
