PARIS, Feb 3 (Reuters) - TotalEnergies' Chairman and Chief Executive Patrick Pouyanne met Mozambique President Filipe Nyusi on Friday to discuss the humanitarian situation in the country's Cabo Delgado province, where TotalEnergies has a project, the oil company said.

The French company added that it had entrusted Jean-Christophe Rufin, whom it said was an expert in humanitarian action and human rights, with an independent mission to assess the humanitarian situation in Cabo Delgado province. (Reporting by Sudip Kar-Gupta, Editing by Louise Heavens)
