The Far Eastern University, Incorporated announced earnings results for the first quarter ended August 31, 2020. For the first quarter, the company announced total revenue was PHP 284.641 million compared to PHP 575.765 million a year ago. Operating loss was PHP 154.370 million compared to operating Income of PHP 38.532 million a year ago. Net loss was PHP 148.797 million compared to net income of PHP 32.977 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was PHP 6.21 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of PHP 2.01 a year ago.
Far Eastern University, Incorporated is a Philippines-based educational institution. It operates through three segments: FEU Main, Trimestral Schools, and Other Schools. It is comprised of seven institutes, which includes the Institute of Accounts, Business and Finance, Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts, Institute of Arts and Sciences, Institute of Education, Institute of Heath Sciences and Nursing, Institute of Law, and Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management. The Companyâs flagship programs include teacher education and business administration. It also offers senior high school programs in FEU High School, FEU Alabang, FEU Cavite, and FEU Diliman. It has also partnered with the Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) to establish the first private health science college in Brunei Darussalam, the JPMC College of Health Sciences. Its subsidiaries include East Asia Computer Center, Inc., Far Eastern College Silang, Inc., FEU Alabang, Inc., and FEU High School, Inc.
