TERNA SHINES RED ON THE INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE

ELIMINATION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

Once again, the headquarters in Rome will be lit up by beams of red light to raise public

awareness on the issues of abuse and discrimination against women

Rome, 25 November 2021 - Once again, on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Terna's headquarters in Rome will shine red. From sunset on 25 November to dawn of the following day, the headquarters of the national transmission grid operator will be lit up by beams of red light and will feature the words "Terna per la Giornata Internazionale contro la violenza sulle donne" (Terna for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) across the façade.

With this visually impactful gesture, the company led by Stefano Donnarumma intends once again to raise public awareness on the issue of gender-based violence, accepting the invitation launched worldwide by the UN which, in 1999, established the "International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women" on this date.

Terna continuously monitors the main gender equality indicators used to analyse parity between men and women in the workplace. These parameters uphold the provisions of the Group's Code of Ethics, that is to say, the absence of disadvantages or significant disparities for women.

Confirming Terna's strong commitment to fostering and promoting gender equality, in January 2021 the company that manages the Italian electricity transmission grid was included for the third year running in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index, the international index - which includes 380 companies in 44 countries, operating in 11 different market sectors - that measures corporate performance in gender equality and transparency of public reporting.
