Hong Kong, December 14, 2021-TCL Electronics Holdings Co., Ltd. ("TCL Electronics" or "the Company", 01070.HK) has announced the introduction of three TCL NXTPAPER Series tablet products in the PRC, signaling its expansion into China's consumer smart education hardware market. This is also the first time that TCL Electronics has launched smart tablet products in the PRC market.

The TCL NXTPAPER series leverages the eye-protected"E-paper" display technology and is supported by well-designed software and hardware system and content. The intelligent AI algorithms creates a smart learning aid system which delivers a whole-new education experience based on "intelligence, companionship and protection". The three new products of the TCL NXTPAPER Series - TCL NXTPAPER 10s ("L10"), TCL NXTPAPER ("S8") and E8, are scheduled to go on sale in physical stores such as Dixintong and Brookstone on December 15 of this year , and on online channels such as Tmall and TikTok starting from January 2022.

In recent years, TCL Electronics smart mobile, connective devices and services have performed remarkably well in overseas markets. According to the latest IDC report, TCL tablets ranked fifth in global Android tablet shipments during the first three quarters of this year. Shipments in the third quarter alone increased by 15.4% year-on-year, while shipments in North America were among the top three in the first three quarters.

TCL NXTPAPER 10s is the top-tier model among the three new products launched. It is a tablet equipped with the world's leading "ten-layer eye protection against blue light" hardware, a home-grown technology and intellectual property right of TCL Electronics. This specially developed technology of TCL Electronics uses multiple layers of coating to disperse screen light, with each of the ten layers filtering harmful blue light to protect eyes. It also features micro- etching technology to minimize glare, creating a display closer to the natural light spectrum. This technology has been certified by German's TÜ V Rheinland laboratory, which has 140 years of experience. In addition, TCL NXTPAPER 10s boast an "AI algorithm + hardware" dual protection system, which can effectively supervise and remind children to maintain an ideal sitting posture and take rest during the reading, helping them to develop habits to protect their eyes and cultivate time management skills.

At the same time, all the textbooks and learning modules are synchronized in TCL NXTPAPER 10s, and it is equipped with a fingertip learning system that supports synchronization of textbook reading, readily-to-search new words 24/7, supports automatic generation of customized vocabulary and other functions which help children to review materials and unfamiliar concepts so they are able to spot blind spots on their own. Therefore, they have clear control of their learning progress.

Adopting a dedicated Talent OS system for the education tablet, the TCL NXTPAPER 10s is light and portable with a 10.1 inch-size. At the same time, it also paired with a T-Pen stylus, which offers a pen-like experience for daily handwriting, writing practicing and drawing. It also supports 4G mobile network, covering China's three major telecommunications operators

including China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom. Users can study online at anytime and anywhere even when they are on the go. Featuring a 8000mAh-battery, the tablet has a long-lasting battery life that can last all day.

In addition to the TCL NXTPAPER 10s, the other two tablets launched as part of the NXTPAPER Series, the "TCL NXTPAPER" and "E8" are also high-performing tablets. Equipped with an 8.88-inch screen, the "TCL NXTPAPER" can achieve the effect of zero eye damage. It has won several awards at CES and IFA international exhibitions. The "E8" tablet is designed for early childhood learning, aiming to achieve scientific primer with an entertainment-education approach through a diversified knowledge enlightenment. TCL NXTPAPER 10s and "E8" models are priced at CNY 2,799 and CNY 1,199 respectively, and the price of "TCL NXTPAPER" will be revealed at a later time.
