T-Mobile U.S. Inc. has struck five-year, multibillion-dollar deals with Telefon AB L.M. Ericsson and Nokia Corp. in a bid to continue advancing and expanding its 5G network, the company said Wednesday.

The deals with the telecommunications companies will allow T-Mobile to add more 5G coverage, capacity, speed and advanced network capabilities, the company said.

T-Mobile plans to bring capabilities such as 5G carrier aggregation, voice-over 5G, network slicing and multi-user massive MIMO to its 5G network.

The Bellevue, Wash.,-based company completed its merger with Sprint Corp. last year.
