SSP America, a division of SSP Group, a leading operator of food and beverage brands in travel locations worldwide, announced a new Corporate Partnership program with Meals on Wheels America, the organization leading one of the largest and most effective social movements with its support of more than 5,000 community-based programs operating in virtually every community across the United States.

As part of its Corporate Partnership, SSP America, key supplier partners, and its team members across the United States will implement a series of initiatives designed to help provide nutritious meals to older adults served by the Meals on Wheels network. The initiatives include product promotions in its restaurants with a portion of the proceeds dedicated to Meals on Wheels America and employee engagement and fundraising activities in local communities.

Michael Svagdis, Chief Executive Officer of SSP America commented, 'SSP America is working hard to manage the dramatic impact of the COVID-19 crisis on our operations. Simultaneously, we are determined to help senior citizens in the communities we serve who experience hunger and loneliness. Our team has a passion for volunteerism and lives by a principal of service from the heart. We're looking forward to working as a team in each of the communities where we operate to help our nation's most vulnerable citizens.'

We're incredibly grateful and proud to be working with SSP America and its employees to address senior hunger and isolation,' said Ellie Hollander, President and CEO of Meals on Wheels America. 'Even before COVID, nearly 10 million seniors in America struggled with hunger, 8 million lived in isolation and more than 7 million had incomes below the poverty line. Providing travelers with the opportunity to give back while they dine will help ensure that no senior is hungry, alone, or left behind.'
