Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA said Wednesday that it has signed a contract with Berkshire Hathaway Energy Canada to supply a 130-megawatt subsidy-free wind-farm project.

The Spanish turbine maker said it would supply 26 SG 5.0-145 wind turbines to the farm located in Alberta, Canada.

The project, which is set to be commissioned in early 2022, will provide clean power to more than 79,000 households in the country, according to the company.

Berkshire Hathaway Energy Canada is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Energy, a holding of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
