21/01/2021 - Sensys Gatso Group, a global leader in traffic safety solutions, through its subsidiary Sensys Gatso Netherlands, has been awarded through its Belgium partner Engie Solutions a procurement award to supply, maintain and support the Flemish Government with traffic enforcement products and services for a period of at least two years. Sensys Gatso will deliver its T-series systems and related services for an estimated value of EUR 6 million, corresponding to SEK 60 million.

The Flemish Government wants to make use of the current infrastructure such as existing induction loops in the roads, but at the same time introduce state of the art Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) functionality with the procurement of new systems. Sensys Gatso T-series are capable of combining both, which resulted in a winning bid by Engie. Sensys Gatso will deliver the T-series solution throughout 2021 and 2022. Those deliveries will consist of both loop-based T-series replacing current Sensys Gatso's loop based GTC systems as well as new radar based T-series. Sensys Gatso will also provide TRaaS services for annual verification of the systems. The amount of this additional business is not known yet.

'We are pleased to be an important partner to the Flemish Government and to continue our relationship. Our decision to combine the existing and proven loop measurement technology with ANRP functionality in our T-series system has proven to be a choice which is valued by the customer. We look forward to supporting the Flemish Government in their objective of making the Belgium roads safer', says Bert Tiggelman, Senior Sales Manager, Sensys Gatso.
