Sartorius AG said Thursday that it is investing around 270 million euros ($302.4 million) through the end of 2024 in an expansion of its business in South Korea.

The German biopharmaceutical company said it plans to launch cell-culture media production and assemble sterile systems for biopharmaceutical manufacturing in the Songdo biopharma hub.

About 750 new jobs will be created at the site in Incheon, South Korea, and construction is planned to begin in the coming year, Sartorius said. Production is set to start by the end of 2024, the company said.
