Repsol SA said Tuesday that it would provide renewable power to Kraft Heinz Co. as part of a deal that will help the food-and-beverage company cut its greenhouse-gas emissions.

The Spanish oil-and-gas company said that Kraft Heinz has secured 34.2 megawatts of renewable electricity generated at Repsol's wind farms through a virtual power purchase agreement deal.

Repsol said the twelve-year contract will contribute to Kraft Heinz's goals of obtaining the majority of the electricity it consumes from renewable sources by 2025 and halving its greenhouse-gas emissions by 2030. Financial details weren't disclosed.
