Regional Container Lines PCL : New service cooperation with OOCL, Yang Ming Line and Gold star Line for north and central PRC to Vietnam and Thailand

In the spirit of strong cooperation, RCL is pleased to partner OOCL, Yang Ming Line, Gold Star Line in a joint cooperation that covers both North, Central and South PRC ports to Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh with two separate loops.

The North loop will cover Dalian-Xingang-Qingtao-Hong Kong-Shekou-Ho Chi Minh- Laem Chabang-Shekou-Hong Kong-Incheon-Dalian with 4 x 2800 TEU sized vessels.

The maiden voyage on the southbound will commence ex Dalian on the 12 Aug 16, while the northbound voyage will commence ex Laem Chabang on the 26 Aug 16. Previously branded as the RCT (RCL China Thailand), RCL will now re-brand this as the RNT (RCL NPRC to Thailand service) and contribute the Sattha Bhum to the service.

The Central loop will cover Shanghai-Ningbo-Xiamen-Ho Chi Minh-Laem Chabang-Hong Kong-Shanghai with 3 x 2800 TEU sized vessels. The maiden voyage will start ex Shanghai on the 13 Aug 16, with the northbound voyage starting ex Laem Chabang on the 23 Aug 16.

According to Mr Charlie Chu, EVP (Business) 'We are delighted to partner OOCL, Yang Ming and Gold Star Line in both raising our level of joint cooperation between carriers as well as enhancing our product offering to customers'.

'The two loops allow us to add Xingang and Xiamen to the rotation while not comprising the transit time. In addition, it also provides for twice weekly service from Thailand to Hong Kong and Shekou with the 2 loops, which was not available to RCL before'.
