On Friday, November 25 of this year, the Consortium of companies Polimex Infrastruktura Sp. z o.o. - the Leader and Polimex Mostostal S.A. - the Partner and the National Institute of Museology and Collections Protection NIMOZ in Lesznowola have signed a contract for the construction of a new Central Museum Collections Warehouse and Administration Building (CMZM), together with the associated park and necessary infrastructure.

The planned investment to build Central Museum Collections Warehouse in Lesznowola comprises a complex of two buildings and the development of the land in accordance with the intended use and the communication service needs of the development. The Central Museum Collections Warehouse will be used for the storage, research, digitisation, conservation and dissemination of museum collections.

The planned development will include two buildings that are structurally independent and functionally and spatially connected, defined as:

  • segment A - Storage building with its primary and only use being the storage of museum collections
  • segment B - a multifunctional building intended for the service functions of the storage segment (including additional storage functions), conservation and collection development studios, administration, social and educational/conference facilities.

The value of the contract is: PLN 143, 272,709.50 gross.

The new Central Museum Collections Warehouse (CMZM) is a unique environmentally friendly project, the basic idea being to optimise the functional design and to combine high quality preservation of the collections, low construction cost with very low energy consumption during operation.

The completion date is scheduled for November 2024, i.e. 24 months from the signing of the contract.
