Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd. is collaborating with LG Chem Ltd. to build a nitrile butadiene latex manufacturing plant at the Pengerang Integrated Complex in the state of Johor.
Petronas Chemicals said Monday that the new plant targets the growing nitrile glove market and construction will begin in 2021, with production scheduled to start 2023.
The plant will have an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons, Petronas Chemicals said.
