Orange said Friday that it would reorganize its executive team in order to accelerate the implementation of its strategic plan and face the challenges brought by the coronavirus pandemic.

The French telecommunications company said it has appointed Michael Trabbia, who is currently CEO of Orange Belgium, as chief technology and innovation officer overseeing the technology and global innovation division.

Ramon Fernandez, currently delegate CEO, has been named executive director of finance, performance and development, while Mari-Noelle Jego-Laveissiere, deputy CEO, will oversee the company's operational activities in Europe.

Orange has also appointed Jean-Francois Fallacher, current CEO of Orange Poland, as CEO of Orange Spain and associate member of the executive committee. A new CEO for Poland will be appointed by the end of June.

The changes, which also include additional positions, will become effective on Sept. 1, the company said.
