A testament of its forward-thinking digital transformation, Ooredoo has been recognised by the Comex Excellence in Big Data & Analytics Awards for its pioneering Data Centre. Opened earlier this year, the 7,000 square metre facility represents a major breakthrough for hosting and data processing in Oman, allowing Ooredoo to further develop its infrastructure, invest in technologies, and support the unique needs of its consumer and business customers. The award was announced at the Crowne Plaza Muscat, during Oman's first big data and analytics meet, which highlighted companies' use of data science to transform their operations and customer experience.

As data experience leaders, Ooredoo continues to keep up with the evolving digital requirements of its customers, while propelling Oman's standing as a digitally-advanced, knowledge-based, and diversified economy. With the Data Centre as the backbone of this strategy, it has already attracted international acclaim, including most recently being named "Best Network Readiness - Data Centre services Oman 2021" at the US-based World Economic Magazine Awards.
