Norwegian's traffic figures for May are heavily influenced by the travel restrictions and soft demand. The capacity was 41% higher than last year with a load factor of 54.8%. Bookings for the summer are increasing day by day driven by the gradual reopening in Scandinavia and as travel restrictions are easing. Compared to the same period last year: - Total capacity (ASK) increased by 41% - Total passenger traffic (RPK) increased by 97% - The load factor was 54.8%, up 16 p.p. - The total number of passengers flown was 96,909, an increase of 32% The unit revenue (RASK) is estimated at 0.63 for the period, up by 17%. The average flying distance for the Group decreased by 4% in May compared to the same period last year. In May, the Group operated 99.1% of its scheduled flights, whereof 95.9% departed on time, 2.3 p.p. lower than last year. CO2 emissions was 135 grams per RPK, due to lower load factor than normal.
