Naturgy Energy Group SA said Friday that it has signed a power purchase agreement with Telstra Corp. to build a 58-megawatt wind farm in New South Wales, Australia.

The Spanish energy company said construction works should start in the last quarter of the year and the farm, called Crookwell 3, is expected to be operational in the first half of 2023.

Naturgy signed the agreement through its subsidiary Global Power Generation, which will invest around 120 million Australian dollars ($92.9 million) to develop the project.

The farm is set to generate enough energy to power an equivalent of 40,000 households.
