MOTA-ENGIL INFORMS ABOUT THE SIGNING OF TWO RAILWAY CONTRACTS IN MEXICO AND IN COLOMBIA IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF €1.7 BILLION AND THE CHANGE OF THE TURNOVER OUTLOOK FOR THE YEAR 2022

MOTA-ENGIL S.G.P.S., S.A. ("MOTA-ENGIL") informs that, in consortium, has signed a Public Private Partnership ("PPP") railway contract with inflation linked availability payments of € 1.2 billion over 38 years in Mexico and a railway construction contract for € 450 million (2020 real figures) in Colombia.

The Mexican railway PPP contract includes the design, construction, rolling stock and financing of the urban mass transit electric train system of the Line 4 of the Metro of Guadalajara with an approximate length of 21 km and 8 stations. After the construction period, the consortium will be exclusively responsible for the operation of the fare collection system. The availability payments are inflation linked and do not have any demand risk. This project is expected to serve initially about 117,000 daily passengers, that will grow to 230,000 connecting Guadalajara and Tlajomulco de Zúñiga in the south part of Guadalajara metropolitan area. This project is the third one that MOTA- ENGIL is executing for the Guadalajara Metro network.

The Colombian railway construction contract includes design, civil works, and train supply of the "Metro de la 80" in Medellin with a length of 13 km, 17 stations and the capacity of 179,400 daily passengers. The construction price is adjusted according to the local inflation. This project will especially benefit the western part of the city of Medellin, improving mobility and positively transforming public space, estimating to reduce annually the emission of 132 thousand tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.

The award of these two projects reflects the winning strategy of MOTA-ENGIL to consolidate its presence as one of the main contractors in the railway sector in Latin America. With the award of these projects, MOTA-ENGIL will develop three important urban mobility projects (including the Line 4, 5 and 6 of Monterrey LRT system) in 3 of the top 50 cities in Latin America.

1

Currently, MOTA-ENGIL is executing 8 railway projects in Latin America, 6 in Mexico, 1 in Colombia and 1 in Panama corresponding to a total of 657 km, of which 347 km are new construction and 310 km regards to rehabilitation. These projects provide for different technical solutions, namely traditional diesel trains, electric trains, light railway trains fully autonomous or with driver, as well as monorail.

Furthermore, it is worth to highlight the recent signing of new contracts of lower amounts in other regions, which, together with the other projects announced during the year, allows us, on this date, to ensure that the GROUP will maintain its backlog at a record level, supporting the growth of Turnover (surpassing the outlook disclosed in the Report and Accounts for the 1st half to the end of the current year) which should exceed 30%, with the consequent consolidation of the GROUP'S main financial indicators.
