This Tuesday, the Río Grande City Hall allocated an important property to Mirgor. This property will be used by IATEC, one of Mirgor's companies, to increase its production in the electronic and cell phone industry.
The meeting was presided by the Secretary of Production, Lic. Agustín Tita, the Infrastructure and Services Manager of Mirgor, Lic. Jorge Módica, and members of the Unión Obrera Metalúrgica (metal workers union) who attended the meeting on behalf of National Congress Representative Oscar Martínez. The Director of Industrial Development, Lic. Andrea Cardona, was also present.

"The reason for the meeting was the allocation of a property that we had requested from the City Hall a long time ago, due to our need to expand our industrial activities related to the cell phone industry and the electronic industry in general.", said Lic. Módica after the meeting.

The manager of Mirgor stressed that "we were benefited with this allocation after a reasonable period of time, and now we need to comply with commitments that we took over. We thank the City Hall for this. Consequently, as I told the Secretary of Production, our goal in Mirgor is always the growth and the development of our company for the benefit of the community, notwithstanding the general situation we are going through.
He explained that the property, received on a temporary basis, "has an area of approximately 2,500 square meters and is located on Sarmiento Street, almost in the corner of Saavedra Lamas. This property will be used for a potential expansion of our cell phones factory or for the electronic products industry."

Lic. Módica added that they would continue working in coordination with the City Hall on different training activities for the people of the city. "We always work in the same way: on an open-door basis, and we continue to include all potential contributors, workers and professionals that want to join our company, as far as possible.
On the other hand, Lic. Agustín Tita explained that "today we signed with Mirgor the allocation of a property in the industrial park area that was currently unproductive. The City Hall gave this property to Mirgor for IATEC, one of the group companies, as part of their plan to increase the value of this park and make the most of the capacity we currently have".

The member of the City Hall government added that "some time ago, the company requested this property in order to expand their plant and consequently their production and storing capacity. Therefore, we are working and we have moved ahead, because today we are taking a very important step: we granted this property to Mirgor so that they can start to work and complete the development of their production project within the terms established by the relevant regulations".
The minister of Production of the City Hall highlighted the support given by the city authorities to production ventures, and to the work done by the members of the Industrial Development Office who review, restructure and follow up on the industrial park situation. "Since we took over, the Industrial Development Office is working hard on the industrial park, reviewing all the area to try and make the most of the fields we currently have. Actually, as time goes along, many properties that have been allocated for production projects are not being used for these purposes for different reasons, and we want to enforce the regulations related to legal periods of time in order to recover these properties for the City Hall, and then re-allocate them to companies that have a real commitment to use them and that can invest accordingly.

Social Responsibility on the Part of Mirgor
Lic. Agustín Tita added that "apart from this, we also worked with Mirgor and made progress in infrastructure works that were necessary for the industrial park, mainly in the area where IATEC is located, in which we are moving forward and working together. The City Hall authorities want to stress the importance of this corporate social responsibility. We always try to work jointly with companies, because they are the ones who use the industrial park infrastructure; in winter, when it is difficult to move around the streets because of the lack of proper infrastructure, they are the ones that suffer the most. That is why we are taking full advantage of this season, in order to be in better shape to face winter", finished the City Hall officer.
We must remember that the road surface made by the City Hall on Sarmiento Street was a joint work made in coordination with IATEC and other neighbors.
