Asian ADRs Decline in Monday Trading

(MT Newswires) -- American depositary receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.1% lower at 1,347.78 on the S&P/BNY Mellon Asia 50 ADR Index on Monday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by Hong Kong-based casino resort facilities operator Melco Resorts & Entertainment (MLCO) and Chinese automotive marketplace operator TuanChe (TC), which climbed 24% and 9.2%, respectively. Online leisure travel company Tuniu Corp. (TOUR) was also up 6.8%.

Aesthetic medical services provider and Chinese provider of real estate information and analytics service platform China index Holdings (CIH) led the decliners in North Asia as they were down 8.5% and 7.1%, respectively. They were followed by Chinese pet-focused platform operator Boqii Holding (BQ) and oncology platform operator Genetron Holdings (GTH), which fell 5.9% and 5.5%.

In South Asia, Singapore-based internet company Sea Ltd. (SE) and Indian information technology company Infosys (INFY) led the gainers, up 2% and 1.7%, respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Aslan (ASLN) and Indian network services provider Sify Technologies (SIFY), which went 1.6% and 1.1% higher.

The decliners in South Asia were led by Indian automotive manufacturer Tata Motors (TTM) and Philippines-based telecommunications company PLDT (PHI), which lost 3.7% and 1.5%, respectively. Indian financial services company ICICI Bank (IBN) and pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) followed, down 1.1% at 0.4%, respectively.
