Mechel Service Supplies Rolls for Arctic LNG 2 Project Mechel Group's steel trading company Mechel Service has supplied approximately 1,000 tonnes of rolls for production of steel structures for the Arctic LNG 2 project.

The rolls were shipped to steel structure producers in Naberezhny Chelny, Samara and Cherepovets. Beams produced by Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant (part of Mechel Group) made for a major part of the shipments, with rebar also included in the supplies. Earlier Mechel supplied Arctic LNG-2's steel structure production with some 1,500 tonnes of Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant's H- and I-beams.

Arctic LNG 2 is an international project by Novatek aimed at producing natural gas and liquid natural gas. The project's resource base is the Utrenneye field in the Gydan Peninsula in Yamal-Nenetsk Region.

The project includes construction of three LNG trains, with a capacity of 6.6 mtpa of LNG each, and at least 1.6 mtpa of stable gas condensate.
