MARUICHI Co.,Ltd. (NSE:8228) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 1,200,000 shares, representing 5.19% of its share capital, at ¥1,087 per share for ¥1,304.4 million. The company will repurchase its shares in order to implement a flexible capital policy which responds to changes in the business environment. As of March 31, 2018, the company had 23,120,484 shares outstanding (excluding treasury shares) and 516 shares in treasury.

The Company operates through four business segments. The Marine Products segment sells marine products, processed marine products, daily items and frozen foods, and manufactures processed marine products. The General Food segment sells general dry foods, general processed foods and confectionery. The Livestock segment manufactures and sells livestock products and processed livestock products.
