The BII awards recognise people who have gone above and beyond for local communities during the pandemic.

Philip and Elizabeth at The Molescroft Inn in Beverley have been recognised for hand-delivering meals to those in need during the first lockdown. They even surprised one guest at home with a homemade afternoon tea for his 92nd birthday!

Ricky and Darren at The Rose & Crown in Hornsea won an award for going above and beyond to provide meals for local school children over the October half term holiday. And, they're not stopping there, as they recently created a festive collection to organise Christmas presents for young people in their community.

Finally, David at The Three Horseshoes in Barton under Needwood worked incredibly hard with his team to deliver over 4,000 meals to the elderly and people self-isolating during the first lockdown. What an amazing thing to do!

Pubs are vital community lifelines and the community heroes running these pubs deserve a huge round of applause.
