15 October 2021 Third Lean & Green Star award Mainfreight Netherlands has officially been handed over their third Lean & Green Star after achieving the milestone back in December 2020. The teams managed to reduce 35% of their total CO2 output - one important condition in order to receive the third Star - since the beginning of their journey with Lean & Green.

Other measures, such as strategizing locations to save up kilometers, training drivers continuously in the new way of driving, and deploying four extra LHV approved trucks on the road also contributed to the success. Since sustainability is a permanent part of our business operations, these will remain long-term solutions. Mainfreight is proud of its team for receiving the third Lean & Green Star. While we participate in the development of the fourth Lean & Green star, we are heading towards a world of more sustainable logistics.
