Kingfisher plc ('Company' or 'Kingfisher') today announces that Mark Seligman, Senior Independent Director, has notified the Company of his intention to step down from the Board on 29 January 2021. Mark has served on the Board for nine years and, in line with the Company's commitment to comply with the UK Corporate Governance Code Principles, has decided to step down from the Board at this point.

The Board would like to thank Mark for his invaluable support and significant contribution to the Company, not least in his role as Senior Independent Director, and wishes him well for the future.

Kingfisher also announces today that Catherine Bradley has been appointed to the Board of the Company as a Non-Executive Director, effective from 2 November 2020. Catherine will assume the role of Senior Independent Director on 29 January 2021 following Mark's departure.

Catherine, who has French and British citizenship, is currently an independent member of the Supervisory Board of PEUGEOT S.A., where she also chairs its Finance and Audit Committee. Catherine is also a non-executive director of Johnson Electric Holdings Limited, a Hong Kong listed company, and of easyJet plc where she chairs its Finance Committee. Catherine recently stepped down as a non-executive director of the Financial Conduct Authority, the UK financial regulator, after serving two three-year terms. She was previously a non-executive director of WS Atkins plc.

Before embarking on her non-executive career, Catherine had a 30-year career in investment banking based in the US, the UK and Asia. She was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in June 2019.

There are no further matters to be disclosed in respect of Catherine's appointment under Listing Rule 9.6.13R.
