Asian ADRs Move Higher in Wednesday Trading

(MT Newswires) -- American depositary receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.74% higher at 1,514.47 on the S&P/BNY Mellon Asia 50 ADR Index on Wednesday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by financial product recommendation platform Jianpu Technology Inc. (JT) and automotive ecommerce platform TuanChe (TC), which climbed 7.1% and 6.8% respectively. They were followed by wealth management firm Noah Holdings Limited (NOAH) and ecommerce retailer JD.com, Inc. (JD), which rose 6% and 5%.

The decliners in North Asia were led by online luxury retailer Secoo Holding (SECO) and mobile app developer Cheetah Mobile Inc. (CMCM), which fell 6.9% and 5.7% respectively. They were followed by educational services provider Tarena International, Inc. (TEDU) and wealth management firm Puyi Inc. (PUYI), which lost 3.7% and 2.3%.

In South Asia, the gainers were led by digital entertainment firm, Sea Limited (SE) and telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK), which rose 3.7% and 2.5% respectively. They were followed by biotech firm ASLAN Pharmaceuticals (ASLN) and IT company Sify Technologies (SIFY), which were up 1.8% and 1.4%.

The decliners in South Asia were led by IT company Wipro Limited (WIT), which lost 0.3%, followed by pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) and telecommunications operator PLDT Inc. (PHI), which were off 0.2% and 0.1% respectively.
