JD Logistics announced on Jan. 14 that it will continue supporting its customers for delivery during the Chinese New Year (CNY) holiday, which JD has done for nine years in a row. As the government recommended less traveling during CNY because of COVID-19, many employees may not travel back to their hometowns. For those working during the holiday, JD Logistics will provide nearly RMB 100 million yuan in subsidies, ensuring benefits for employees that are higher than the national standard.
According to JD, the company will expand its delivery policy during CNY, even during the first three days following New Year's Eve, during which customers in 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, nearly 300 cities and 1,500 counties and districts can receive orders as fast as usual.
To make sure frontline employees can enjoy a warm New Year, JD will also provide them with other care, including a more flexible rotation policy, gift sets and dumpling-making sessions, etc.
A representative from JD Logistics said, 'To protect employees and their families during COVID-19, we've made adjustments. During the time when they are working we will also provide additional benefits for sure.'
