NEW YORK (AP) _ Inter Parfums Inc. (IPAR) on Tuesday reported second-quarter profit of $27.6 million.

The New York-based company said it had net income of 86 cents per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 98 cents per share.

The perfume maker posted revenue of $244.7 million in the period.

Inter Parfums expects full-year earnings to be $3.25 per share, with revenue expected to be $1 billion.
