Open-source startup Anyscale on Wednesday said it raised $40 million at an undisclosed valuation in an oversubscribed Series B funding round.

The Berkeley, Calif., company said existing investor New Enterprise Associates Inc. led the round, which brings its total funding to more than $60 million.

Andreessen Horowitz, Foundation Capital and Intel Capital, the venture arm of semiconductor giant Intel Corp., also participated.

Anyscale, which developed the Ray open-source project, said it will use the funding to expand the ecosystem around the project and to bring its first commercial offering to market.
