The award for 'fastest mobile network in Greece' was once again given to COSMOTE mobile network at the Speedtest AwardsTM by Ookla®, global leader in mobile and broadband network intelligence, testing applications and technology. COSMOTE, the first to bring 5G- the internet of the future- to Greece, awarded for the 8th time in succession by Ookla® for achieving a Speed ScoreTM of 51.39, (2nd: 28.49 and 3nd: 25.62) and download speeds that were measured 64% higher than those of the second provider and 83% faster than those of the third.

The ''Greece's Fastest Mobile Network 2020'' award was based on approximately 460,000 measurements that took place by mobile network users, during the last six months of 2020. The tests were implemented via the Speedtest® application under real conditions, throughout the country, on the networks of all the mobile telephony providers, on iOS and Android devices. With more than 13,500 servers around the world, millions of tests are implemented every day by Ookla® users, the total number of tests having exceeded 33 billion, since 2006. Continuous network upgrades and even higher speeds for COSMOTE 5G
