Grupo Argos S.A. Announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced total revenue was COP 4,026,623.651 million compared to COP 3,345,809.346 million a year ago. Operating income was COP 873,239.768 million compared to COP 448,973.067 million a year ago. Net income was COP 211,491.295 million compared to COP 9,607.184 million a year ago. For the half year, total revenue was COP 7,759,637.567 million compared to COP 6,961,591.904 million a year ago. Operating income was COP 1,397,797.561 million compared to COP 845,603.055 million a year ago. Net income was COP 285,380.617 million compared to net loss of COP 22,581.702 million a year ago.
Grupo Argos SA, formerly Inversiones Argos SA, is a Colombia-based holding company primarily engaged, through its subsidiaries, in the cement industry. The Company has three business segments: Sale of Cement, Sale of Energy and Gas and Financial Activity. The Companyâs activities include the production, distribution and sale of a variety of cement, ready-mix concrete and related construction materials, which are marketed under the Argos brand. The Company through its subsidiaries is involved in such sectors as cement, energy, harbors, coal and real estate development, as well as execution and management of infrastructure projects.
