GEK TERNA HOLDINGS, REAL ESTATE, CONSTRUCTION S.A. TERNA SA: Signing of new railway project in Bulgaria
- The project's budget amounts to 154.7 million Euros (plus VAT)
- Company's backlog at 3 billion Euros (contracts signed or pending signature)
TERNA SA, 100% subsidiary of GEK TERNA Group, announces yet another significant infrastructure project in Bulgaria.
The company has signed an agreement with Bulgaria's National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC) 'NRIC' regarding the project 'Construction of track, catenary, structures at section Petarch - Dragoman and design, construction and author supervision of the signalling and telecommunication systems of section Voluyak - Dragoman'.
The project comprises 20.9 km of railway infrastructure (earthworks, bridges, overpasses, track laying and construction of four railway stations) and complete electrification as well as the design and construction of a 33 km railway signalling and telecommunications system.
Construction works will be completed in 48 months and the total budget amounts to 154.7 million euro (plus VAT).
It is worth noting that GEK TERNA's strong presence in Bulgaria is evident in a number of significant infrastructure and construction projects successfully implemented, as well as real estate investments, whose total budget amounts to approximately half a billion euro.
Indicatively, the Group has successfully completed the following:
- Reconstruction and electrification of the Dimitrovgrad - Svilengrad railway line
- Electrification and modernisation of the Kroumovo - Parvomai section of the Plovdiv - Svilengrad railway line
- Construction of «IKEA» retail store in Sofia
- Construction of «HermesPark» retail and business centre in Sofia
- Development of «Telus Tower» retail and business centre in Sofia
- Development of «3 Tops offices» retail and residential complex in Sofia
- Development of «Gerganitza Palace» residential complex in Sofia
- Development of hospitality and residential complex «Borovets Euphoria Club»
The Group's total backlog of signed and pending signature agreements now amounts to approximately 3 billion euros, including the said project in Bulgaria.
