While GameStop posted $1.38 billion in net sales for the quarters through April 30, on an adjusted basis it reported a loss of $2.08 a share.

Analysts had projected net sales of $1.32 billion and an adjusted loss of $1.45 a share, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

Shares jumped 3% in early after-hours trading after quarterly results were announced.
