Solar Power Plant Run by Naraha-Ooya Solar, a Consolidated Subsidiary,

Starts Commercial Operation

Naraha-Ooya Solar LLC, a joint venture between Fuyo General Lease Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, "Fuyo Lease") and Sharp Energy Solutions Corporation, began commercial operation on October 1, 2018, of a solar power plant in the town of Naraha, Futaba-county, Fukushima Prefecture.

The solar power plant has an installed capacity of approximately 23.9 MW dc*1, with estimated annual power generation of 24.9 million kWh. This plant is the second-largest commercial solar power plant operated by Fuyo Lease, following the Tomioka-Sugiuchi Solar Power Plant, which has begun operation in March 2018.

This amount is equivalent to the total annual power consumption of approximately 6,900 households*2.

Part of the funds used in this project were raised through a Green Bond issued in November 2018.

In Fuyo Lease Group's Medium-term Management Plan, "Frontier Expansion 2021," it has identified "energy/ environment" as one of its strategic fields, and promotes the leasing and financing of infrastructure and equipment that contribute to expand solar-power projects, energy conservation, and decarbonization. The Group gives particular recognition to tackling climate change issue, such as by increasing the adoption of renewable energy, viewing it as an urgent issue, and it became the first comprehensive lease company in Japan to join RE100*3. The Group will contribute to the creation of a sustainable society through this solar-power project , by working to expand the use of renewable energy and further advancing initiatives to tackle climate change issue.
