Abengoa, International company that applies innovative technological solutions for sustainable development in the infrastructure, energy and water sectors, has been selected by ENGIE Energia Peru, one of the largest power generation companies in the country, for the construction of an electric transmission line that will allow the evacuation of energy from the future Punta Lomitas wind farm of 260 MW located in the southern region of Ica to the National Interconnected Electric System (SEIN).

In particular, the work consists of the engineering of detail, construction and implementation of the electric transmission line, from 63 km to 220 kV, double terna and located near the Peruvian coast between 100 and 650 meters above sea level.

Abengoa will be responsible for developing these works that include the execution of engineering, procurement, civil works and electromechanical assembly, as well as the commissioning of the various facilities.

With this award, Abengoa consolidates the market confidence and leadership position of the company in the development of electrical installations worldwide, as well as its leading position in Peru, where it has been present for more than 26 years and where it has developed electrical and electromechanical assembly projects of relevance in the mining sector.
