Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.'s second-quarter net profit fell 30% from a year earlier mainly due to the recognition of deferred tax assets for one of its subsidiaries.

Net profit for the quarter ended September declined to $104 million, while revenue rose marginally by 2% to $666 million, the company said Wednesday.

"During the quarter we saw gradual recovery in the market demand across India, Russia and other markets after low demand in first quarter, although demand is yet to fully recover to pre-Covid levels," the company said.
