Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company PLC announced group and company earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2018. For the quarter, the group reported revenue of LKR 2,687,784,000 against LKR 2,132,573,000 for the same period a year ago. Profit after tax was LKR 681,297,000 against LKR 84,846,000 for the same period a year ago. Basic earnings per share were LKR 32.85 against LKR 4.09 for the same period a year ago.
For the nine months, the group reported revenue of LKR 7,702,240,000 against LKR 6,714,862,000 for the same period a year ago. Profit after tax was LKR 1,252,370,000 against LKR 807,066,000 for the same period a year ago. Basic earnings per share were LKR 60.39 against LKR 38.92 for the same period a year ago.
For the quarter, the parent company reported revenue of LKR 2,679,484,000 against LKR 2,123,930,000 for the same period a year ago. Profit after tax was LKR 686,907,000 against LKR 88,794,000 for the same period a year ago. Basic earnings per share were LKR 33.12 against LKR 4.28 for the same period a year ago.
For the nine months, the parent company reported revenue of LKR 7,681,838,000 against LKR 6,693,282,000 for the same period a year ago. Profit after tax was LKR 1,272,634,000 against LKR 832,746,000 for the same period a year ago. Basic earnings per share were LKR 61.37 against LKR 40.16 for the same period a year ago.

The Company's segments include Tea Bags, Tea Packets, Ready to Drink (RTD) and Others. Its other sales include bulk tea and other value-added teas.
