Compleo opens own business presence in Austria First foreign subsidiary of the greentech company to open in the Vienna area I Further expansion of sales in the fast-growing Austrian market I Claus Drennig named Country Manager for Austria Dortmund, May 4, 2021 - Compleo Charging Solutions AG, a leading provider of charging solutions for electric vehicles, is opening its first subsidiary in a European country outside Germany in Austria. Until now, the greentech company from Dortmund, Germany, has mainly relied on sales partnerships in Europe. Compleo already expanded into Austria at the beginning of the year as part of a cooperation with KSW Elektro- und Industrieanlagenbau (KSW). Now the Compleo branch office in the greater Vienna area follows as the next consistent step towards expanding sales in the constantly growing Austrian market. Claus Drennig will be responsible for the strategic orientation of the branch as Country Manager. He brings along extensive experience in the area of direct payment concepts in the retail sector, among other fields. At Compleo, Drennig will support the areas of installation, service and maintenance as well as cooperation with the partner KSW. As the former Managing Director for hardware-based payment options for e-charging stations at Bluecode and thanks to his consulting experience, he brings the necessary knowledge to position Compleo's solution portfolio for various target segments in the growing Austrian e-mobility market. "With our subsidiary in Vienna, we will be even more visible to our local customers as a brand and company," said Checrallah Kachouh, Co-CEO of Compleo. "Due to increasing environmental awareness and attractive subsidies, more and more consumers in Austria are switching to e-cars," said Kachouh. A development that is also reflected in the registration figures for electric vehicles. In March of this year alone, 5,099 e-vehicles were newly registered in Austria, according to the federal government's AustriaTech agency. This brings the total number of electric vehicles on the road to 69,581. Due to the rapidly growing number of new registrations of e-cars, the nationwide charging infrastructure in Austria is becoming increasingly important. An assessment shared by Claus Drennig: "Interest in electric vehicles is very high in Austria, but that is not enough for the mobility turnaround to succeed - sufficient charging stations must also be available nationwide.
