CHICAGO (AP) _ Coeur Mining Inc. (CDE) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $32.1 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The Chicago-based company said it had net income of 13 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to less than 1 cent on a per-share basis.

The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 9 cents per share.

The silver mining company posted revenue of $214.9 million in the period.

Coeur Mining shares have decreased 27% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $7.56, a drop of roughly 9% in the last 12 months.
