Chubb Ltd. has named Alexandra Waldman as its climate sustainability manager, as the company looks to integrate sustainability goals across the business.

In the newly created role, Ms. Waldman will identify and implement opportunities for climate-related products and services globally, encourage employees to engage in climate sustainability issues and help establish a metric-driven framework to measure the company's sustainability efforts, the company said.

Ms. Waldman joined Chubb, a property and casualty insurance company, formerly named ACE Ltd., in 2011 as an environmental engineer in its North America environmental risk insurance business. Most recently, she was Chubb's senior environmental program manager. Prior to joining the company, she was an associate in the environmental division of Zurich Financial Services.

She will report to Chubb's Vice Chairman of Global Underwriting Claims, Paul Krump.
