Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S/A ('Company' or 'Eletrobras') (B3: ELET3, ELET5 & ELET6; NYSE: EBR & EBR.B; LATIBEX: XELT.O & XELT.B) hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general, in addition to the Relevant Fact disclosed on January 24, 2021, that the 8th Civil Chamber of the Court of Justice of the State of Rio de Janeiro ('TJRJ') initiated the judgment of Interlocutory Appeal No. 0011330-57.2021.8.19.0000 today, August 3, 2021. After the Rapporteur's vote to grant Eletrobras' appeal, the second and third member judges asked to be seen. Now awaiting the return of the case by the magistrates for later resumption of the trial.

It is, in its origin, a collection action related to a compulsory loan on electricity ('ECE') that is currently in compliance with the judgment. The main controversy revolves around the difference between the amounts indicated by the first instance court expert and those that are considered by the Company as effectively applicable. The divergence, according to Eletrobras, is related to a series of methodological flaws and assumptions - technical and legal - contained in the expert report.

The Company will keep the market informed about the judgment in question.
