CORPORATE DISCLOSURE - TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT SIGNED FOR THE DISPOSAL OF MAJORITY HOLDING IN GUARDIAN CAPITAL PARTNERS PLC BY CEYLON GUARDIAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC
Refer to the previous announcements dated 23.09.2020.
In accordance with Section 8.1 of the Listing Rules of the Colombo Stock Exchange, Carson Cumberbatch PLC and Ceylon Guardian Investment Trust PLC wishes to inform its shareholders that Ceylon Guardian Investment Trust PLC ("CGIT") has terminated the Share Sale and Purchase Agreement dated 02.09.2020 ("SSPA") that was entered into between CGIT, Gazelle Asset Management Pte Ltd ("GAZELLE") and Guardian Capital Partners PLC ("GCP") for the sale of 21,692,800 ordinary shares being 83.97% stake held by CGIT in GCP to GAZELLE due to GAZELLE not completing the purchase.
