BBVA Game already has 100,000 users

BBVA receives the Bank Innovation award for the success of its gamification platform

BBVA has received one of the four awards for the most innovative company in 2012 granted by Bank Innovation, a financial forum specializing in customer retention strategies, as recognition for the success of BBVA Game.

This Bank Innovation award recognizes BBVA's best practices in the application of gamification techniques to encourage the use of on-line services. BBVA Game has attracted 100,000 users during the first six months it has been in operation.

Gamification techniques, such as the application of game dynamics in commercial environments, are being developed in all types of industries. In the financial sector, where they are not yet very common, BBVA stands out for the introduction of these practices in customer loyalty building.

The Bank Innovation awards are granted annually to companies in the banking sector that have excelled in innovation, while recognizing those brands that have made a difference in terms of products, methods, messages or media.

The award granted to BBVA has highlighted the Group's commitment to an innovative gamification strategy and its successful application, given the popularity of BBVA Game among its customers.

Using BBVA Game, customers can make account inquiries, pay bills and taxes, and carry out all kinds of transactions, as if they were operating on the bank's website. With each transaction completed, the users earn points that can be exchanged for numbers to enter a draw for prizes such as iPads, smartphones, tickets for NBA or Liga BBVA games, etc.
