Banco Santander S A : Santander to Combine Openbank, Santander Consumer Finance

Banco Santander SA said Tuesday that it plans to combine its Openbank and Santander Consumer Finance businesses to create a global digital consumer bank.

The Spanish bank also said that shareholders have approved a script dividend that will take total compensation for 2019 to 0.2 euros ($0.24) per share. Shareholders also green-lighted a cash dividend of EUR0.10 a share for 2020, pending regulatory approval.
