Balfour Beatty, the international infrastructure group, officially welcomes a number of changes to its Group Executive Committee this week.

Mark Bullock, Chief Executive Officer for Rail & Utilities, is now Chief Executive Officer, UK Construction Services. Having joined the company in 2012 as Managing Director of Balfour Beatty's UK Rail business, Mark has significantly increased employee engagement, financial performance and customer satisfaction.

Mark replaces Dean Banks as Chief Executive Officer, UK Construction Services, who leaves to take on a new role in Australia, after a short handover period.

Matthew Steele, previously Managing Director of Gas & Water, has taken on the role of Managing Director of Rail & Utilities, whilst also continuing his leadership of Balfour Beatty's Gas & Water business where he has driven improved commercial arrangements and delivery programmes for key contracts and customers.

In the US, Leon Blondin, Chief Executive of US Buildings is promoted to Chief Executive Officer, US Operations, having transformed US buildings into one of Balfour Beatty's highest performing business units. Assuming leadership of US Buildings, US Civils and US functional Shared Services, Leon will provide overall leadership and co-ordination in the US.

These changes will help support the successful execution of thousands of schemes delivered by Balfour Beatty across the UK and US, which will support communities, create infrastructure, and enable economic growth.
